Simply put this hat is fantastic.

It was packaged well and came with a bonus polishing pad. The chocolate colour is very nice in person. The leather and fur and stitching all look and feel premium. Very soft and comfortable, I can wear it on my shaved head without irritation. The sizing is quite accurate. My head is a substantial 61cm and I opted for the 2XL in order to have more room/compensate for any sizing discrepancies, but I needn't have feared. It is nice and roomy without feeling too large, and leaves me room to fit a balaclava underneath like I had originally planned for extra cold weather.

Perhaps my one small gripe would be the chin-tie straps. They feel sturdy and supple but they are a bit awkward to tie since they are flat and about half an inch wide, but overall I think that it's a worthwhile trade-off in order to have sturdier straps.

I looked around online for similar style hats that were made-in-Canada, and I don't think you can beat these for value. All-in-all I'm very pleased and this hat has made me (dare I say it) excited for next winter.

Canuck Hat, 4 year update.

Hi,

Just wanted to upgrade my previous review, 4 years, and it's still as good as new!
Super warm, super comfortable.
Totally recommend!
I have a Head Honcho, sheepskin boot liners as well.
Price is well worth it, when you get something that last!
Thanks, Egli.
I'm a customer, for life!

Canuck Hat

Hi,

I bought this hat for winter bicycle commuting. I had to add some strings to tie it off, tight to the chin ( that's why only four stars ). I've used the boot and hard hat liners for years so, I knew what I was getting. Coldest temperature that I rode in last year was -34C, not counting wind chill. Never has my head been cold! I have to switch to a toque at -5C because it is that warm. If you can't find headwear warm enough, you just did.

Mike.
